Joel

Joel is the mechanic and handyman in Sanctuary. He's Alex's best friend and often gets dragged into his schemes. He is well respected and works close with Oscar, the leader of Sanctuary. He is friendly, and somewhat naive and ignorant of how rough it is outside Sanctuary due to only living before and during the war, being frozen before the apocalypse, and brought to Sanctuary after. He was considered an engineering genius before the end of the world and was frozen to preserve his mind for the future. Oscar still recognises this, but most people in Sanctuary just see him as a handyman. Surprisingly he has no problem with this. He lives in a tower attached to the garage where he works.

Leena














Leena is a respected citizen of Sanctuary like Joel. She is the assistant to Oscar, the leader of Sanctuary, and daughter of the brewery owner Sam O'Reilly. She was born in Sanctuary and its the only life she knows. She has a lot of respect for Oscar, in ways he is her role model. She is quite strict on herself and never defies the laws of Sanctuary. However she does try to enjoy herself and Joel helps her (being her boyfriend).
