Alex

Alex is the main protagonist in my story, Sanctuary. He was taken and experimented on by the British government at a young age. He later received time manipulation powers from a blue crystal and now the owner (a time traveller driven mad by the crystal) lives in his mind and haunts him. 

He is reckless and hot-headed, doesn't take morals into account when something needs to be done (mostly because he's quite ignorant of this kind of thing). He's messy and uncultured (as a result of most of his life being spent in a lab and wandering the wastes of England), he's also cocky, and has a dark sense of humour. He can appear to others as a moody, brooding type, and that is partly true, however he usually goes around like nothing is wrong, but he is clearly deeply disturbed by something. His favourite food is baked beans. His favoured weapon is his trusty knife and his fists, he's a self taught brawler so his fighting style can seem clumsy but he uses his time powers to his advantage (when they work), he hasn't yet mastered them, and it seems someone else has control of them. 

He has a slouching posture (his head in his shoulders), his facial features are simplistic, he has spiky, long hair (it changes over time but he consistently has an off-centre single spike in his fringe, and its always brushed to the right) his body isn't physically built but he has strong, muscular arms which suits his fighting style. He has strange, grey markings all over his body that glow blue sometimes, seemingly signifying that he can use his powers. He uses a hook-like symbol on his left hand to check if his powers are available when his other markings are covered by his clothes.
