Setting mood board

Sanctuary is a fortified town in the suburbs of post apocalyptic London, surrounded by rocky hills stretching far around, making it impenetrable from the dangers of the outside. Its condition is in complete contrast to the rest of the world. I want it to look and feel like an idyllic town with a gothic, victorian aesthetic so that it can look both pleasant or creepy depending on the mood. This also complies to the aesthetic of the (now destroyed) British Empire of the universe the comic is set in, which is steampunk/dieselpunk.

I created a mood board to present the look I am trying to create in my comics. I got some of the pictures from pinterest that linked to victorian architecture, but most of the images were ones I had previously collected on my phone (from the internet and pictures I have personally taken.)

These are the sketches i did based on the mood board and other similar images I collected of Victorian architecture that I found appealing. I decided that an architectural theme throughout the sanctuary will be arched features.
